Greater Accessibility
Existing labelling requirements are not accessible to all users. As a result of having to fit many different labels on devices, manufacturers and suppliers have had to use the very limited space on a product. For feature phones, this was often on or under the battery - but for smartphones that is not an option for most models.

In addition, for the printed material this is often difficult to read due to the amount of information that needs to be provided. if you have a vision impairment then this may be very difficult.

E-labelling helps to overcome these limitations by (1) allowing all the relevant information to be displayed within the device for all markets; (2) not having the space restrictions that come with printed labels and information; (3) allows for text-to-speech or other accessibility features to be able to read out the information just like with any other text; and (4) allows labels and text to be resized in accordance with a user's needs.

So e-labels provide a far more accessible means to access, see and read compliance information compared to traditional printed labelling requirements.
